Women Empowerment through SHGs in Kakori

Empowerment of women is a process in which women, half of our population, challenge the existing norms and culture, that restricts them from coming out into the mainstream. The participation of women in Self Help Groups (SHGs) makes a significant impact on their empowerment both socially and economically. SSRE in its initiative to empower women is conducting livelihood programs for its SHGs in Kakori, District Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.

SSRE on Sexual Harassment at Workplace with the NSS team of Mahila PG College, Lucknow. A huge number of students attended the program and got their legal queries solved. Issues on Domestic Violence and Cyber Crime was also addressed.

On 27th October 2017 a Workshop on Sexual Harassment and Gender Discrimination conducted by Sr. Trainer, F.P.A.I Mitashri Ghose and Adv. Shuma Talukdar. The program was organized by the Women Cell of A P Sen Degree Girls College, Lucknow.
